Doodle: Organized vs Unorganized desktops

Hello! Here's another doodle. It categorizes the people based on how they keep their desktop and folders organized. and there are others who love to keep their desktop like chaotic mess.  Both have their own arguments to defend the situation. Check it out: I, being a computer user keep the desktop and every folder on files system clean and organized, ie this let me find anything within few clicks and doesn't require me to remember everything, like where did I put the timeline of particular project. Let us know in the comments how you prefer your desktop organization.

MacBook 2015 for programmers?

There's so much to love about the new all-metal MacBook released in March 2015. Its the redesigned version of late 2009 MacBook, which was silently discontinued by introducing the Macbook Air. The new Macbook targets all the educational and consumer markets. It has many cool features as follow: All metal: Its the first ever macbook to come with all metal. So aren't the existing all-metal? no, they're not, the  hinge mechanism  has  some  plastic in it, as well as a plastic cover. Retina: It has stunning 12-inch retina display. Colors:  yesss, we love them, the first ever MacBook to come in three colors, Silver, Gold, Space Grey. Better Stereo Speaker: Unlike Macbook Air that has speaker hidden in vents near the hinge, the speakers in MacBook are above the keyboard, which throws music right at you. USB-C port: basically a new all in one port for charging, video sharing and data transfer. Others: Full size keyboard, New trackpad. Now the qu...

Android Studio How to use 9 patch png?

Hi, 2nd blog post after almost 1.5 year :) Today I'm going to discuss about 9 patch image and how to use 9 patch png in android apps. What is 9 patch? 9 patch is technique used to scale the image in such a way that the 4 corners remain unscaled, but the four edges are scaled in one axis and the middle is scaled in both axis. So the graphical representation of this scenario will be something like this: Icon when divided into 9  patch Simple Icon file The image at left side when divided into 9 patch will look like the image at the right side. Now the interesting part, the four corners of the image will be remain unscaled and the edges will be scaled in single axis, which may be X or Y. and the center of the 9 patch image will be scaled in both axis. Now we include an image which will represent the parts of image unscaled, scaled into Y axis and scaled into Y and scaled into both direction with color differentiation. Here it is. 9 ...

Hi all! While developing Android application we needed Iphone like tab bar at the bottom of the screen, so Googled and find usefull links but having some issues. Some of the usefull links I found were. iPhone Tabs for Android!   iPhone-Like Tab bar in Android iPhonish Tabs   and so many links. These posts are good and useful also. But I was curious about having TabWidget and TabHost not using any other controller like some of authors have used RadioButtonGroup and Repeated Image Background. So I searched about customizing android TabIndicator and found a solution. The files which will be needed are as follows: in res/drawable directory:     tab_selected.xml    (will be used to show effect while selected)     tab_pressed.xml    (will be used to show effect while pressed)     tab_unselected.xml    (will be used to show effect while unselected)     tab_f...
